Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American broadcaster. She is employed by ESPN and works as a SportsCenter News Anchor. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bi-lingual since nine years old. It was a helpful skill that helped her secure her first job as a production assistant for Univision in Miami that gave her the chance to work with the producers of National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Following this, her CBS station of St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley to work as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. In addition to reporting on issues related to immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, she worked as a reporter for five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of news at 9 p.m. newscast, which was in English as well as a reporter again for news at 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she was a substitute for anchors of sports and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasthe affiliate of Univision Dallas, and she is more responsible. She wrote pieces for the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports program Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. She was a host of sports for the morning program that is Despierta America Deportes. She held the same position as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents were originally of Veracruz Mexico. The family relocated into Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She also has an older sibling. The family in 1992 left Mexico and moved to Miami. In 1992, the couple divorced and shortly afterward in 1995 she was remarried Fabio Fajardo who was a naval engineer who died in 2006 from kidney cancer. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the young Collins took a place with her older sister. At the time of her senior year at high school, but having a clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future, Antonietta went to her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her preferences. At the end of the day she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a the opportunity to study a major. Following her graduation from high school, she decided to go to the university to pursue a degree with Media Studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in her class, formed a lasting relationship with the student. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
