Growing up in Massachusetts Dudek went to Northwestern University where she got her first acting role in the stage production of The Iphigenia Cycle. It was off-Broadway, situated in New York City. She attended Northwestern University in her early years where she appeared in various productions of theater and on Broadway performing in The Glass Menagerie on Wrong Mountain in 2000.
